Scripture Devotion

Five promises stacked against two fears.

Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
Isaiah 41:10 (KJV)

Reflection

Count the reassurances stacked in one verse: I am with thee, I am thy God, I will strengthen, I will help, I will uphold. Five distinct promises answering two commands — fear not, be not dismayed. The sheer accumulation is the point; it's as if one promise weren't enough to quiet the fear, so five are piled up. And they escalate: presence, then relationship, then strength, then help, then the upholding hand. Not a distant well-wish but a hand under you, holding you up. By Friday, whatever the week has worn down, the verse doesn't offer a single thin comfort — it stacks five, ending with a grip that holds.

Motivational Quote

It's the courage to continue that counts.

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.
Winston Churchill

Application

Churchill strips both success and failure of their finality — neither is the last word. The one thing that carries through both is the courage to keep going. As the week ends, whichever of the two you're sitting in, his line says the same thing: it's not the end of the story, and the continuing is what counts. Continue.
